Just hours before kickoff, Turning Point USA announced its “All-American Halftime Show” will no longer stream on X, citing “licensing restrictions” in a sudden update that sent viewers scrambling for a new link.
Instead, the conservative group — founded by Charlie Kirk — told fans to head to YouTube to watch the alternative halftime broadcast around 8 p.m. ET, positioning it as a “no agenda” celebration of “faith, family and freedom.”
And yes, the timing is the entire point: the All-American Halftime Show is direct counter-programming to the official Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show starring Bad Bunny — with TPUSA selling its version as a more “MAGA-friendly” option for the biggest TV break of the year.
The lineup still reads like a statement even when they insist it isn’t: Kid Rock leads the show, joined by Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, and it’s also available via a web of right-leaning platforms and channels including Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, TBN, CHARGE!, The National News Desk, NTD.com, and OAN News.
Kid Rock leaned into the underdog vibe, calling it “David and Goliath” — saying competing with “the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible… “or is it?”
Bottom line: TPUSA’s halftime “takeover” didn’t get canceled — it got rerouted, with the most viral moment arriving before the first note even played.
